Join Tim Weed and the Weeds for this special concert at the Javarita Coffee House Concert Series in Sahuarita, south of Tucson. The Weeds' world-class musicians will take you on an eclectic musical journey with flavors of Latin, bluegrass, jazz, African, and classical music, showcasing Tim Weed's heartfelt original music and virtuosic talent.
The Weeds have many configurations - this concert will include Tim Weed (aka Tim Wiedenkeller) on vocals, guitar, banjo, and sevan; Debbie Daly on harmony vocals, percussion and guitar; Mark Robertson-Tessi on mandolin and harmony vocals; Rob Paulus on bass and violin; and a very special guest, Grammy-nominated world percussionist Will Clipman.
The Javarita Coffee House was born in 2000 as a place to gather local acoustic instruments and musicians. Each year it has grown in numbers and in spirit and is now a well-established hangout for acoustic aficionados as well as a performing stage for well-known, highly skilled, and very entertaining musicians.
Time: Warm-up act begins at 6:45pm, Weeds start at 7:30.

Tim has been performing on the Grand Canyon Railway this summer. The train
departs Williams, AZ and travels 65 miles to Grand Canyon daily.

Chef Janos has been hosting a summer concert series every Thursday night
at sunset featuring many of Tucson's fine musicians in his J-Bar. Tim
will be joined by Rob Paulus on bass, Jeff Friendl on percussion, and
Randi Dorman and Debbie Daly on harmony vocals. The band is really looking
forward to playing, and enjoying the excellent cuisine, sunset views,
and gracious hospitality. Janos is featuring discounted menu items, and

Tim will perform at this benefit concert that will also feature local
legends Howe Gelb and John Convertino (of Giant Sand and Calexico) and
Gila Bend. Rob Paulus will join Tim on bass and violin. Their portion
of the show is from 9 to 10 p.m. Gelb and Concertino perform from 10 to
11, and Gila Bend is from 11 to 12 p.m. The benefit is for Mike Hyde,
a Tucson guitar player, who is suffering from liver cancer. Minimum $5

Tim has composed music for Clokey
Productions and Premavision for the 2004 Davey & Goliath
production and the upcoming Gumby feature film. These productions
are being featured at the Museum of Television & Radio in New York
and Los Angeles, The Museum of Moving Image in New York, The Center for
Puppetry Arts Musem in Atlanta, and the Art Mine in Seattle.

Milagros Featured on NPR
Tim's CD Milagros was recently featured on National Public Radio (NPR)
in the July
2005 episode of All Things Considered. Bob Boilen, host of the show,
profiled Milagros and Tim as an artist. Previously, NPR had been playing
segments from Milagros (called "buttons") since December, but
this is the first feature piece on Tim.
